Last week at Rev. Jerry Falwll's Liberty University, Ted Cruz has started his presidential campaign.
According to ted Cruz, Obamacare is unconstitutional and goes on to say it as train wreck and it does not end here he says, it "puts a government bureaucrat between you and your doctor."
Last week in his campaign he said that he intended to sign his family up for the insurance coverage through Obamacare.
He told to Dana Bash of CNN, "We'll be getting new health insurance, and we'll presumably do it through my job in the Senate, and so we'll be on the federal exchange like millions of others on the federal exchange."
He added, "I believe we should follow the law, even laws I disagree with."
Hypocrisy is the word liberals used to describe Ted Cruz.
"There's no hypocrisy in Cruz using Obamacare, just like there's no hypocrisy in people opposing Social Security using it," said ethics scholar Rush Limbaugh
If Cruz acted on his initial statement he would have been fined.
The trouble started when aides said the senator had not decided what to do with his health insurance. This marks the beginning of the controversy.
A GOP statergist who is backing Jeb Bush said, "He had a superb announcement, but then his message got thrown off by this Obamacare distraction."
Until now Cruz family was covered by a policy provided by his wife's employer, Goldman Sachs, his wife decided to go on unpaid leave during her husband's presidential campaign.
Some of the alternatives to buy a policy are his wife could ask Sachs to continue their coverage under the firms unpaid leave programs..
She could apply for continued coverage under federal COBRA law, but since she didn't lose her job and she is voluntarily departing, she might not qualify under this.
Other way is Cruz can directly buy a policy from an insurance company.
And other alternative is Cruz could refuse to buy health insurance and can pay a penalty to the treasury along with other taxes
